As the HSE Business Partner, your role will support, guide and influence health and safety with the business, having direct ownership of our client's Installation operations.You will provide expert advice and guidance for all CDM related activities Group-wide. You will have a HSE background which will focus on working at height and access solutions such as scaffolding as well as in-depth knowledge on the application of the CDM regulations. They are looking for someone who can add more value to the business, contributing enormously to their organisation's success.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel nationwide to support their operations where needed to be able to inspect, provide guidance, advice and drive the safety culture within their field based Installation teams.

As the HSE BP, you will report directly into the Group HSE Manager; imparting specialist knowledge and direction towards legislations / regulations relating to CDM and working at height.

In this role, you will work across all HSE functions of the business in developing and contributing to the Group HSE Management system, focusing on new areas of risk such as basic domestic ground works / civils for the installations of conservatories to ensure the legislative requirements are in place where needed.
You will work alongside the Property & Facilities Team; making certain 100% control of activities meet set standards for contractor control whilst auditing for compliance. You will support and manage where applicable incident investigations and therefore be cross trained within the Group HSE function.

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation in relation to construction activities (CDM, Work at Height, Environment).
  • Previous experience access solutions such as scaffolding.
  • A recognised professional qualification (NEBOSH Diploma).
  • An environmental qualification (NEBOSH / IEMA).
  • Be able to travel to Safestyle locations with overnight stays where applicable.
  • Scaffold Inspection (desirable).
