Our Fundraisers are employed by Charity Link on permanent contracts, working on behalf of some of the UK’s most well-known Charities. Working at pre-booked, high footfall venues. This role really does make a difference to people’s lives. You will be the public face of the charity, interacting with the public seeking their support by way of regular monthly direct debit donations. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, a passion for interacting with the public with the ability to work under your own initiative.
Our commitment to quality and professionalism is unrivalled. A 3-day new-starter training programme is followed by 4 weeks in-field mentoring within a professional and well managed regional team environment ensuring that the best possible support is provided.
What we’re looking for
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to create a rapport in a face-to-face situation
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- An effective, persuasive and engaging communicator who enjoys the variety of travelling and working in a different environment each day
- The desire to become a passionate advocate for the Charity you represent
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role such as Direct Sales, Customer Service or Field Sales - non-essential
Our fundraisers typically work between 10am and 6pm and are usually employed on a 40 hour per week contract working 5 days per week, including alternate weekends. Our Fundraisers must be flexible in the hours they work and demonstrate commitment to reaching their donor targets each week.
All our fundraisers are on permanent employment contracts, providing the security of regular income as well as fantastic benefits including health cash plan, death in service plan, shopping discounts and a personal pension. Our fundraisers are paid a basic wage, plus discretionary bonuses, which relate to the number and quality of donors they achieve.
All uniform, equipment and materials are provided - including an electronic tablet to take donations. Fundraisers are entitled to 28 days holiday which includes bank holiday allowance. Accommodation will be provided if staying away (if the venue is over 75 miles from home) plus a contribution towards travel expenses.
