Production Planner (fitout)
Experienced Production Planners are required to join a leading shipyard based in the South West.
Operating in the ever-competitive luxury yacht arena, this british boat builder has grown extensively of late due to unprecedented market demand and is expanding their team across a number of areas to keen up!
To ensure the smooth running of 5 production facilities dotted across the county, there is a constant need to plan people, materials and third parties in order to ensure that these high end products can be produced at maximum productivity. With a GBP500,000 product being built in 5-7 days, as you would expect, planning is paramount!
Working in collaboration with production management, the production planner will be ensuring a smooth sequence of plans in accordance with each stage of build and in close relationship with the BoM. Duties will include:
- Sequencing of work packages for optimum performance
- Processing Change Notes in line with existing plans
- Ensuring all plans align with allocated build slots (especially for custom orders
- Continual review of project plans, suggesting updates and amendments to improve overall process
As an individual, you'll need to have shaped a career in production and planning, ideally through a high value/low volume manufacturing organisation where products are generally made up of thousands of parts. An organised and approachable individual, you will be able to decide with clarity and knowledge on the best plan of action, inputting where you see clear opportunity to change.
