Design Assistant
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: GBP16,500 - GBP18,000 depending on experience
Our well-established award-winning client is looking to recruit a Design Assistant to join their growing team. As a Design Assistant you'll use your creative flare to produce high-quality design assets that generate sales leads and promote the brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
* Create assets for in-house campaign activity for various mediums, including emails, social and web
* Design collateral for print, digital, merchandise and outdoor marketing
* Work with third parties to produce assets for external marketing activity, ensuring they meet set print and digital specifications
* Produce innovative design solutions that are optimised for customer experience and lead generation
* Ensure assets are functionally and creatively optimised for use across multiple platforms.
* Generate ideas for asset optimisation and development in line with performance data
* Understand customer experiences relative to different persona types
* Support both the Marketing and Development Teams where required
* Illustrate design ideas using storyboards and mood-boards
Essential Skills
* Basic HTML knowledge desirable
* Experience in the design industry ideal
* Experience of designing for print and digital mediums
* Understanding of color profiling, image resolution, typography and branding
* Passion for creativity and attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of key design principles
* Experience of designing for different mediums
* Ability to meet strict deadlines unsupervised
* Experience with dedicated design software
* Ability to produce design work unaided
* Strong initiative balanced with excellent teamwork
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Love of knowledge and an eagerness to learn
* Ability to stay calm under pressure
* Experience of conducting market and competitor research
