Our client is a successful App Software Development & Design Company for well known companies around the UK and internationally. They not only create well known apps and digital products, but they conduct workshops, put together networking events, and build prototypes.
They are on the hunt for a HR Advisor to join them as soon as possible, to join their fast moving, evolving company. This is an exciting and growing role, where you get to get stuck in in many different areas of this creative business.
JOB TITLE: HR Advisor

LOCATION: Angel, Islington (Central / North London), with flexibility to work remotely some days

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
They currently have 60 people in the business, so your role will be extremely varied, with exciting growth ambitions for 2018 & 2019. This is a stand-alone HR position due to the size of their business, but you work very closely alongside a wider Operations and Administration team.
HR Administration
* Answering employee questions
* Creating and distributing documents
* Managing holiday, sickness and monitoring any issues
* Compiling reports and spread sheets and preparing spread sheets
* Maintaining current HR files and databases
* Updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records
* Maintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
* Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
* Performing payroll and benefits audits and recommending any correction action
* Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews
Recruitment/New Starters
* Collecting employment and tax information
* Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
* Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
* Orienting new employees, files and assessments to the organization (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.)
* Conducting benefit enrolment process
* Management of contracts and visa requirements for new hires and movers
Other
* Providing all employees with HR advice and guidance, promoting agreed people
* Implementing, creating, delivering or managing defined HR initiatives which promote performance improvement, well-being, engagement, and cultural alignment; demonstrating commercially-aligned to achieve completion of all initiatives
* Providing support to the Talent Manager, working together to ensure an effective resourcing plan can be developed; proactively communicating attrition risks, organisational design changes, skills gaps, and succession plans
* Monitoring legislative changes and keeping the wider HR/ Operations Team up to date on employment law, data protection, and immigration guidelines and legislation
* Ensuring accurate employee records are maintained, employee record documentation is up to date, and communication is handled appropriately and in a timely manner
KEY QUALITIES:
* Previous experience within HR
* Extremely proactive
* The ability to adapt communication to management/others
* A strong understanding of business administration
* Strong organisational skills
* Proven experience in the implementation of solutions to business issues
* An assertive and confident decision maker
