Newly Weds?? Foods Ltd is looking to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor at our site in Banbury, reporting to the Group HS&E Manager.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to really make an impact by implementing and developing our excellent health and safety policy, being the go-to person on site for HS&E legislative advice, as well as ensuring that all staff and managers carry out their HS&E responsibilities in line with our policies. The role would suit someone with experience in health and safety, and someone with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

The Banbury facility manufactures food coatings systems, dry blends, bread crumbs and rusk products. The site has a major ongoing capital investment plan and with a new production capability having recently been built, it is an exciting time to join us.

The Role

* Carry out risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) management;

* Co-ordinate activity and maintain relevant HS&E logs;

* Incident management, conducting investigations and root cause analysis;

* Able to work well with others to bring them on the HS&E journey;

* Coordinate HS&E meetings with key stakeholders;

* Coordinate and deliver health and safety training.

The Person

* Common-sense, practical approach to health and safety;

* Experience of undertaking risk assessment;

* At least one years' experience in a similar role;

* Ability to problem solve;

* Computer literate;

Terms and conditions, include:

Salary - between GBP30,000 and GBP35,000 a year depending on skills and experience

Working hours - 35 per week, Monday-Friday, however, the site runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you may have to work outside of your usual hours. Overtime will be paid.

Benefits - a pension with 3% contributions, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days after 5 years, 2 x salary death in service benefit, health care cash plan, as well as many others.
