Established in 1947, we are a family business who have steadily grown to become one of the most exciting Groundcare Dealerships in the South of England.

We have a vacancy for a Driver for our busy expanding Groundcare Hire Department based in Reading, Berkshire.

Delivery Driver / Equipment Demonstrator Duties:

The main duties of this position will be to deliver machinery, install and give training to our customers. 

You will primarily be delivering the machinery within our trading area, this covers the M4 corridor to Bristol and the whole of Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Upon delivery, you will ensure the customer has been instructed in the safe use of the machinery and that all paperwork is completed and to make sure the machinery is returned in good condition. During quiet delivery times, you will be asked to help in the workshops, alongside the main engineers, carrying out various workshop tasks...these may vary from changing blades to valeting a machine ready for sale. 

The hours of work will be 8am until 5pm. However, due to the nature of the hire business, it will be required from time to time to vary start and finish times to accommodate customer requests, i.e., early delivery, these will generally be a 6.30am start. 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be able to use their own initiative to resolve any minor issues that may arise. You must hold a clean HGV licence up to 18T rigid and have a current CPC card with at least 3-years remaining. 

You may have worked in the following capacities:
Field Service Engineer, Groundcare Technician, Groundcare Equipment Engineer, Groundcare Machinery Engineer, Groundcare Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, Groundcare Machinery Operator, Groundcare Machinery Driver, LGV Driver, Groundcare Contractor, Landscaper, Class 1 Driver. 7.5-Ton Driver, Installation Driver, Delivery and Demonstration Driver.
