Markets and Street Trading Assistant
A new opportunity has become available to assist the Market & Street Trading Manager with the operation of Cambridge Markets comprising the six day General Market, Sunday Arts & Craft Market and All Saints Garden Market. You will be assisting with the operation of licensing functions and street trading consents on the public highway.
Responsibilities
To maintain comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date records (computerised or manual as appropriate) containing data on applications, waiting lists, consultation records, licences granted, licences rejected, equality monitoring, enforcement actions and any other relevant information, for:
•Street Trading pitches
•Market stalls
To assist the Market & Street Trading Manager in allocating licences for stalls and pitches, all in accordance with service standards, procedures and codes of practice.
Essential criteria:
•Familiarity with Information Technology generally and word processing in particular.
•Experience of dealing with the public, preferably in public service.
•Some basic knowledge of general legislative procedures.
