A new Licensing role has become available in Devon, the county famous for two beautiful coastlines, two National Parks and five official Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. My client is looking to hire an experienced Licensing officer to join the team, to deal with the following:
* Licensing Act 2003
* Gambling Act 2005
* Taxi & private hire drivers and vehicles,
* Street collections,
* Scrap dealers,
* Street trading etc.
About the Role
The role will include a range of responsibilities, some of which include, processing of applications, issuing of licences, carrying out inspections, attending committees and recommending enforcement action. This includes both on-site inspections and office admin, and will see you liaise with the relevant Council officials to complete license applications.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of and experience implementing the Licensing Act 2003, and the Gambling Act 2005. A background in enforcement is desirable however not necessary, however due to the nature of the role, you must be a comfortable liaising with the public.
