Position: Residential Support Worker
Location: Edgware, Enfield, Wood Green
Job type: Full Time or Part Time Temporary
Hours: 20hrs or 37 hours per week (Depending on your availability)
Pay: £9 to £10 per hour

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to work as a support worker for their well established care home. They provide services for adults with learning disabilities and are looking for a dedicated and passionate support worker to join their team.
Your role will involve working with people to help them develop their independence and will need to combine your professional experience and skills to work with adults on a day to day basis to promote their independence and ensure that they have fun while staying safe.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this Support Work role, you will need to have experience working with adults with Learning disabilities. You will also need either access to your own car or be able to travel flexibly on public transport. You will need to be empathetic and tolerant. You will need to have a genuine desire to provide meaningful, considered support and the ability to thrive in a person centred environment.
The Purpose of the Role
You will be required to work 1:1 with clients
You will be required to carry out moving and handling in a safe way
You will be required to carry out personal care duties
You will be promoting independence
The Ideal Candidate
You will have previous experience working within a similar care setting
Will have a caring and empathetic nature
The ideal candidate will need to be a driver with access to your own vehicle due to the location of the unit.
You will need to have a full DBS check and hold all mandatory training before your placement can commence. If you already have a DBS registered on the online update service, we can accept this.
