PK Education are working closely with several Secondary Schools in Northumberland looking for individuals to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils aged 11-18 with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) needs.

Within this role you will be tasked with supporting a pupil closely with every day school life. You will be tasked with helping them with work either in the classroom or on a 1:1 basis. You will be responsible for monitoring and recording a pupil's progress while reporting to a line manager to discuss how best to work with a pupil to aid progression academically and socially.

Roles vary from 2 days to 5 days a week depending on individual pupil needs.

The minimum requirements for this role include:

Having at least 6 weeks classroom-based experience
Having experience working with young people/adults with SEN needs
Having the ability to build rapport
Being supportive, empathetic and caring
Being able to work as part of a team with the aim of supporting the learning of young people
