Management Accountant – Temporary Contract

Our client is currently looking for a Management Accountant on a temporary basis to join their team in Truro on a temporary basis. The role will include supporting both capital and revenue budgets and the budget setting process.

The Role: Management Accountant

This will be a highly varied role, ensuring all budget-holders are provided with the required financial information and advice in order to maintain appropriate budgetary control. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• The delivery of financial reports to meet requirements of capitol and revenue services
• Ensure accurate budget reports are produced in a timey manner
• Report, quantify and escalate any financial problems appropriately
• Keep relevant managers updated with required information
• Complete reconciliations accurately as required
• Clearance of suspense accounts
• Processing of journals
• Support completion of final accounts
• Provide project support
• Attend meetings and provide advice as appropriate
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role

Candidate Specification: Management Accountant

• Good understanding of high-level financial forecasting and budgetary processes
• Senior AAT or part CCAB qualification
• Significant experience in a similar role
• The ability to enable financial standards according to financial standards and modelling
• Experience of providing budget management advice
• Good level of computer literacy with a range of software packages
• Proven ability to maintain excellent working relationships
