The Real Estate Division is one of Addleshaw Goddard's largest, comprising a team in excess of 200. Within the Leeds office, the mainstream Real Estate team currently comprises of six partners and over 30 other fee earners.

The team were crowned in the 'Commercial Property' category at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2017, hosted by Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer magazine. This recognised their work on advising on a series of ground-breaking deals that have played a key role in reshaping the Yorkshire skyline.

Our Requirements

We are looking for to grow the team and are looking for talented Real Estate Lawyers, at various levels, to work on a variety of commercial property work including landlord and tenant, property management, sales and purchases, and working as a member of a couple of the firms principal client account teams.

This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with excellent prospects for career development. We have a strong reputation for providing lawyers with early levels of responsibility within a supportive and stretching environment.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

Suitable candidates will have strong academics and gained a minimum of six months real estate experience during their training contract or post qualification at a City or leading national practice recognised for construction or Real Estate work.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills, a good understanding of real estate law and a willingness to learn and develop commercial awareness. Someone with good social skills, plenty of drive and enthusiasm will allow us to help us to provide an excellent client service. In addition to this you should be able to demonstrate you are able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where you will be required to meet tight deadlines.

Background

As well as the above skills and competencies required, you will have:

- excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree

- clear understanding of the operation and structure of a top law firm

- ability to achieve continuous improvement and development
