A Production Engineer position has just become available for a well-established Controls + Automation business, located near the Birmingham area. This well regarded business will be paying a competitive starting salary, to the successful professional.
Production Engineer role overview
Liaise with the other members of the Engineering/Design team, to make sure that customer requirements are aligned to the specs'. Assist with BOM, Production drawings and the testing of processes from customer requirements. Products you'll be looking after, will mainly consist of electrical control system assemblies.
Production Engineer duties include -
* Management of bills of materials and the required production documentation.
* Liaising with the procurement and production teams, to make sure that requirements are met.
* Involvement with the NPI stages, design reviews, project/customer meetings as and when required.
* Working closely other departments on site, to provide technical support as and when required.
Production Engineer desirable skills/experience/attributes -
* Experience working within a similar role (ideally a fast paced environment).
* Experience in BOM and producing estimates.
* Experience of Control Panels design and assemblies.
* Experience liaising, or assisting within the management of design staff.
* Understanding of PLC's and System Testing.
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
* Engineering, or relevant education within a technical division - ideally /HNCONC in Electrical/Production Engineering.
