We are urgently looking to appoint an experienced CNC Setter operator to work within a small team to hit the ground running, you will have proven experience knowledge of machining processes. The role is direct & permanent employment with our client who is a large international corporate organisation that offer exceptional staff benefits in addition to the runemeration package
You Must Have
• Worked in a demanding manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift items of varying weights throughout their working day in a safe manner using the supporting equipment provided.
• Ability to program in Fanac / Heidenhain desirable but not essential.
• Ability to measure using micrometers, plug gauges etc.
• Ability to measure using CMM an advantage but not essential.
• Time served recognized apprenticeship completed, or experience of 5 or more years desirable
The Role
• Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run inspection, and sample work pieces whilst always adhering to international standards.
• Manufacturing parts to drawing taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, undertaking troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools always adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Machining both Castings and Bar Stock.
• Working to Tolerances of .01mm
• Machining one off components or Batches. sizes to maintain stock to support customer lead times.
• Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times.
• Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements adhering to manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions as well as calling for essential repairs to be undertaken by your team leader.
• Documenting actions by completing production and quality logs (Cycle Time Sheets).
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through the use of cycle time sheets and creating open items for investigation.
• Be able to use and maintain set up sheets
