One of the UK's best-known companies is looking for a Degree-qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Regional Commercial Manager with M&E works in the Reading area.
The position comes with tailored internal development opportunities and an excellent remuneration package.
Senior Quantity Surveyor duties will include:
* Involvement in contract price build-ups (rates, overheads, profit)
* Understanding and negotiation of project contract terms
* Management & mitigation of commercial risk during projects
* Production of cash flow projections and management thereof
* Active improvement of contract profitability
* Preparation and submission of applications for payment
* Settlement of project accounts & subcontractor accounts
* Maintain good client relationships
* Provide sound commercial knowledge and support as required
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will:
* Have a Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
* Have practical, hands-on experience in a similar role
* Ideally have an Electrical background, though will consider mechanical & construction
* Have good commercial understanding of costs, value & cash
* Have proven experience in managing Contractual relationships
* Be proficient in mathematics, Word, Powerpoint & Excel
* Be a team player with good people-management skills
* Have a full drivers licence with no more than 6 points
The company offer a strong & stable work environment with tailored training & career progression opportunities, a starting salary between GBP39000-GBP56500 pa. negotiable depending on experience, plus 10% bonus pa, a company car (or allowance up to GBP3600 pa.) and the usual benefits you'd expect from a nationally represented business who value their employees.
