Electronics Test Technician

Our client based close to the Cambridge/Essex border is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Electronic Test Technician to join their Production team. The successful candidate will perform functional testing and diagnostics for on complex products, with ability to perform diagnostics to component level after having become familiar with the system. This role would suit someone with some electronic product test experience, but keen to develop their skills further by working on more complex products. Some travel may be required in the UK and occasionally, overseas.Duties/Responsibilities:Typically to include, though not limited to the following:Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to contract/schedule requirementsProduce accurate test records, and yield/failure reportsDiagnose faults and recommend corrective actions.Assist engineering with test support on new products or investigations.Essential skills and knowledge:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Experience of working in an electronics production environmentA qualification in an engineering related disciplineAwareness of common manufacturing processes, particularly printed circuit board and electro-mechanical sub-assembly and testFamiliarity with technical documentation (drawings, specifications)The ability to multi-task and work accurately under time pressure.Flexible in approach, and ability to deal with changing requirements.A full UK driving licence
