Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Wakefield
Salary: To GBP60 + Car allowance & bonus
Type: Permanent
We are looking to recruit a senior HR professional who will steer a progressive HR agenda for a fast paced internal logistics business supplying it's own operations across the UK. The successful candidate will be based in the Wakefield (travel to work area) for an opportunity that is mainly site based with occasional travel to other sites. Candidates from the world of internal logistics or 3PL will be of particular interest as will senior professionals from a manufacturing background.
You will be a sound business strategic partner, an engaging team leader and a Manager who leads by example. Employee relations are always a key focus area whether delivering new policy and procedures to the business or dealing with complex case work or maybe getting involved with day to day transactional HR issues.
This is a unionised business and we partner with union leaders to ensure we provide a professional HR advisory service that gives effective solutions to people issues ensuring a balance between individual and business needs.
You will deliver generalist HR practices but will also partner key stakeholders with matters concerning business change and transformation agendas'.
To be considered for this opportunity, we require the following skills and experience:
• Significant HR technical knowledge and experience preferably within a logistics or manufacturing environment
• CIPD qualified preferred
• Extensive employee relations experience
• Strong business partnering
• Highly effective communication and influencing skills
• Industrial relations experience is preferred.
• You will be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building skills with union leaders and be able to foster healthy partnerships that work well for the business
• Flexible approach to problem solving
• You will be experienced at leading and developing your own team
