Freight Forwarding/Account Manager

My client is a freight forwarding company based in Basildon. They distribute High End Designer Fashion items in the UK and overseas. They are very laid back as an organisation but they work hard and they provide a first class service to their clients who have extremely high standards. This position is to work in the office with 5/6 other individuals where you each look after certain clients and you will cater to their needs. This could be answering queries regarding items that are held in their warehouse on their behalf, it could be to take an order and arrange delivery in whatever way that needs to happen depending on location, putting the order on the system, liasing with warehouse regarding stock etc ( the warehouse is located by the office so lots of going backwards and forwards), general administrative duties and wherever needed working as part of a team to get the job done. I would say it is a real mix of customer service and admin. Their deliveries could be to places like Milan, Italy, London Harrods, Bond Street and other boutique locations. They also hold one off items in stock that the designers ask them to store for things like photoshoots or red carpet events that sometimes have to be sent out to places like Los Angeles.
Everyone has been with the company a long time, people stay because it is a great place to work, great people and a nice environment. My client is looking for someone who works hard and has a good attitude towards work, someone who is flexible and adaptable as no two days are the same. Someone with good attention to detail as there is no room for error with the clients they deal with, and who would be proud to look after the portfolio of clients they have and take a general pride in their work. The hours of work are 8.30-5.30 and they are looking for someone to start asap
