Background



EDF Renewables UK ("EDFR") are a 49/51 joint venture between EDF Energy and EDF Energies Nouvelles. Our role is to deliver our Shareholders' renewable energy objectives in the UK.


We currently operates over 700MW (over 30 onshore wind farms and 2 offshore windfarms) and have a significant portfolio of consented onshore wind farm projects as well as seeking opportunities to acquire consented projects.


We are currently recruiting for two performance analysts to join our asset performance team, based in either; Durham, Edinburgh or London.



Vacancy Overview



The Asset Performance Team is a small, agile team that works to deliver the collection, management, analysis and reporting of operational and performance data across all assets in our portfolio.


In addition, the Performance Analyst will also take a lead role in driving through performance related analysis across the business, working with the Asset Operations and Engineering team to ensure the analysis is understood by the business and the resulting actions taken will improve the portfolio's overall availability and performance levels.


These roles would be of interest to a graduate who has a passionate interest in renewable energy.



Principal Accountabilities




  • Produce regular, accurate, insightful management reporting on a timely basis to the EDFR leadership team
  • Daily monitoring of the portfolio, supporting the Asset Management team with communication updates and reports as necessary.
  • Build and maintain the tools required for the Asset Management team, linking numerous SCADA and PI data sources with Excel and MS Access models
  • Validating the data inputs and calculations to ensure that wind farm income payments are accurate and made on time.
  • Monthly validation and management of Reactive Power Services Agreements with National Grid
  • Working with EDF group to produce and agree standard KPI and performance dashboards.
  • Work closely with Asset Managers to ensure delivery of service across the portfolio, contributing to quality standards, accuracy and levels of service. Providing daily outage updates to the Asset Management team.
  • Perform turbine level Power Curve analysis and follow up on any anomalies
  • To be responsible for the operation of the Lease Agreements with the landowners, calculating the generation related rent payments and maintaining the Rent models.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience



Qualifications and Experience



  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and modelling skills, including proven ability to build and maintain new models as well as challenge existing models
  • Academic qualification at Degree level or recognised equivalent
  • Highly organised individual, with ability to manage a large number of activities concurrently.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to work individually and also the required skills to work as part of a team
