This leading multinational Chemical Distribution company are now looking for a Credit Controller join their busy Accounts Team in Runcorn, Cheshire.

As a Credit Controller, you will have previous experience of Credit Control and a natural ability to work with care and attention. You will report Group Credit Control Manager and must be confident in liaising over the telephone and by email.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Controlling credit and chasing debt for credit and non- credit accounts
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payment amounts and records are correct
  • Answering any queries regarding invoicing on account
  • Chasing remittances and cash for payment allocation
  • Reconciling finance accounts on smaller product ranges with credit facilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Record credit control notes
  • Maintain and manage customer accounts
  • Raising sales and invoices and credit notes
  • Ad hoc duties as required


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Have recent knowledge of working in a Credit Control Team - Essential.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Essential
  • Have strong IT skills, particularly MS Office Applications - Essential.
  • Experience of using Sage 1000 - Desirable
  • Ability to deliver impeccable attention to detail and accuracy - Essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an effective team player - Essential
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload, work under pressure and to meet deadlines - Essential
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Professional, efficient, flexible, patient, punctual and pro-active.

JOB DETAILS

  • Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package

  • Hours: Permanent / Full-time (35 hours per week)
