HIU Engineer

I am currently recruiting for the following position my client is looking for qualified and experienced engineers who have previously worked on heating interface units and have a strong plumbing background to join their team on a permanent basis. HIU ENGINEER ROLE:
• Inspect the functionality of the pumps.
• Check the system operating parameters.
• Check and clean the port valves.
• Check for leaks and pressure drops in both the primary and secondary sides of the heat exchangers.
• Annual service certificate issued.
• Provide service maintenance document.
• To work on high pressure/temperature installations in client district heating system properties
• To service and repair HIU installations
• To repair pipe work and work on associated fixtures and fittings
• To replace meters within the HIU
• To carry out minor electrical repairs within the confines of the HIU
• To deliver excellent customer service
• Attend callouts when required
Experience/Qualifications:
• 2 years minimum experience in breakdown/repair/maintenance on hydraulic interface units
• 2 years plumbing experience
• Unvented hot water certificate
• City & Guilds level 2 in plumbing and heating
• Full UK driving license
• Hold 17th edition electrical qualification
