Income Management Officer

They are looking for an income management officer to join their highly motivated and successful income management team who are performing in the top quartile in providing excellent services to their customers.  You must be ambitious, enthusiastic, very much a team player and happy to work under pressure towards a number of key targets.

What’s the role all about?

Maximising the amount of income received, including rent and service charges, by reviewing accounts for a given patch on a weekly basis and taking the relevant action as outlined within their income management procedure.

This will include carrying out home visits and presenting cases in court for legal action as necessary, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required.  

Carrying out pre-offer assessments for prospective tenants to ensure they are being offered suitable accommodation and there are no concerns regarding affordability.

They want somebody who:

Has previous experience in a front line customer facing role within a general needs housing environment, or a similar background relevant to income collection, a good understanding of housing benefit, universal credit and welfare reform legislation would be an advantage.  

Demonstrates a commitment to their values of openness, honesty, accountability and collaboration, and you will put customers first, going the extra mile for them when delivering services.  

Is a good communicator with the ability to handle sensitive issues and you will have experience of working with customers who may be vulnerable or may present challenging behaviour.  

Has Excellent IT skills, good attention to detail and an excellent work ethic are crucial requirements for the role.
