With operations around the world (particularly the UK, USA, Canada and Australia) this leader in its field is seeking to appoint an experienced and thorough Finance Senior Accounts Assistant to its existing team.
In this initial 12 month (maternity leave) contract, reporting directly to the Group Accountant and working closely with a small, dedicated, team, you'll be responsible for processing invoices, expenses and payments, along with controlling both customer and supplier ledgers.
As Senior Accounts Assistant, your duties and areas of focus will include:
* Daily and weekly processing of supplier invoices, staff expenses and credit cards
* Fortnightly supplier payment runs
* Weekly debt collection of outstanding invoices
* Debtor and Creditor monthly reconciliations and month end journals
* Reconciling and recharging of client expenses
* Journal creation and input into nominal ledger
* Updating the weekly cash flows
* Liaising with non-finance stakeholders across the company including operational staff and Project managers
* Assist team colleagues as appropriate and deal with applicable queries
With excellent accounts clerical experience, you'll be a Senior Accounts Assistant with close attention to detail and strong MS Excel skills, you'll possess good credit control knowledge and good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Self-motivated and flexible, you'll work well in a small team environment, comfortable with providing cover for colleagues when required and being proactive, demonstrating initiative where appropriate.
On offer is an attractive and comprehensive remuneration package consisting of a basic starting salary of GBP23,000 - GBP25,000 per annum (subject to experience), contributory pension, 25 days annual holiday entitlement (plus statutory bank holidays), life assurance, healthcare, free onsite parking and other benefits. Please note certain benefits may only apply if ultimately appointed permanently and then post probation period.
