Technical Manager
Technical Manager - National Housing Developer - circa GBP60k plus package (dependent on experience)
My client is a top national housing developer with a focus towards building quality affordable new homes in both brown field regeneration and green field locations.
The company are one of the largest and most successful house builders in the UK, leading the way with new building techniques and adopting a forward-thinking mentality.
They are currently on a recruitment drive facilitating the expansion of one of their newest regions and are recruiting a Technical Manager from a Housing Developer or Residential Contractor background to work across their live and upcoming sites.
The client has put significant emphasis on a candidate with an Engineering back ground with a House builder or Consultancy.
The region currently has 8 live sites with a further 4 due to start by Spring 2019 bringing the regions total output to 600 units with further plans for expansion planned over the coming years.
This role will be crucial in managing the Technical department throughout the full construction process, including engaging with and managing professional consultant teams.
This position is perfect for a Candidate looking for the next step up in their career with the desire to become Technical Director within 4/5 years.
To be suitable for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Working knowledge of Architectural, Civil Engineering and Design aspects of new build housing developments.
• Experience of delivering open market and affordable housing
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Full understanding of traditional building techniques and up to date knowledge of building regs and NHBC standards
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Asta
• Ideally hold a design, engineering or project management degree or professional membership
• Commutable to Mansfield
• Longevity of service for a like-minded business
• Experience in Site investigations, Foundations and value engineering would be beneficial.
