What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to bring technical excellence and delivery Ooperational Building Surveying support and leadership for building activities across the North East including small and medium projects and in particular the Gibside portfolio. This post will provide backfill for existing operational Building Surveyors, who have been required to move to Project Building Surveyor roles at Seaton Delaval Hall, which is undergoing a GBP7.4 million HLF funded project across the next 2 years..

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • You'll be a member of and/or near completion of a current RICS or CIOB membership
  • A passion for building surveying within a heritage and conservation organisation
  • Knowledge of building conservation, from asset management to contract management, procurement, to maintenance and repair
  • Experience of delivering works in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • A clear client focus and excellent client relationship management skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • The ability to work and effectively manage your time across a busy and complex project
