Managing Associate
Our nationally based commercial lawyers are integral to our continuing success. Representing an impressive range of FTSE 250 clients on high-profile, business-critical transactions and regulatory matters, they play a vital role in helping clients remove obstacles to growth and success. The team comprises of specialists in commercial, IT, IP, data protection and competition across our network of UK offices with nationally recognised leaders in their field, the team is one of the largest and most successful of its type.
With the team in growth mode, lead Partner, Paula Bartlett, is looking for a talented Associate or Managing Associate to join the team in Leeds.
What will you be doing?
You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, both in terms of revenue growth and profitability from new and existing clients. You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our local market share, running transactions in their entirety from the outset, supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients. As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence strategy for the team as well as helping others to develop in this area.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
You'll be an experienced technically proficient commercial lawyer who's had extensive exposure to quality commercial work from a large regional or city firm who can add value through first class technical, commercial advice and delivering business and sector insight. Ideally you'll have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring. You'll also have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate work in your own right. If you have business development experience that can help us to continue developing opportunities, then we really want to speak to you.
