We are currently looking to recruit Residential Childcare Workers to work within a secure residential unit in County Durham. This centre provides care for young people from a variety of backgrounds requiring staff to be aware and sensitive of an individual's needs.
Within this role you will be supporting a range of young people whom may present different aspects of challenging behaviour, some of which may also have complex health needs.

Within this role you will be supporting a range of young people whom may present different aspects of challenging behaviour, some of which may also have complex health needs.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with activities and daily living skills
- Ensuring health, safety and welfare of clients
- Record keeping - maintaining up to date reports such as care plans
- Maintaining regular communication with Team Leader's
- Providing appropriate boundaries for all young people
- Communicating effectively at all times
- 4 GCSEs (grade A - C) inc Maths and English or equivalent and/or
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or willingness to achieve within 18 months of commencement.
- Commitment towards undertaking and maintaining required training standards in accordance with the updated career pathways
