Due to continued success and growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Revenue & Cashflow Accountant. This role will be based in Exeter, with frequent travel to Bournemouth.
[b]The Role:[/b]
Joining our team, the Revenue & Cashflow Accountant will provide and manage a comprehensive proactive accounting and financial control and support function across three key areas of the business: Revenue, Cashflow and Financial Settlement. You will provide expert financial advice, ensuring financial governance and delivering the required financial reporting for Pennon Water Services, in line with parent company requirements and through liaison with other Group companies. Duties include:
*Prepare accurate and timely cashflow forecasts to support the business management of working capital*Work closely with Group treasury to facilitate timely payment of suppliers and appropriate cash management*Be the expert on Market credit terms and ensure appropriate credit is in place to enable the business' growth strategy*Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial settlement process, including reconciliation and payment of wholesaler invoices*Support the operational team to understand, investigate and resolve any variances between wholesale charges and billed revenue
[b]Our Ideal Revenue & Cashflow Accountant will have:[/b]
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA Qualified or part-qualified is essential for this role*Prior experience of using ERP financial management system*Experience of maintaining and managing challenging bank reconciliation processes*Ability to bring lateral thinking and analytical rigor, structure and solution to problematic areas.*Advanced levels of MS Office programmes, particularly Excel*Ability to manipulate and interrogate large volumes of data*High level of resilience; drive and determination to make a real difference
