Production Planner

A successful agricultural manufacturer based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds are looking for an experienced Production Planner with a background in computerised planning systems, focused around optimising efficiencies and performance in a manufacturing environment. You will need a working knowledge from an engineering point of view of medium to heavy process machinery and your background will be in supervising of individuals and processes utilising statistical analysis and modern manufacturing techniques.

Your role will be crucial in the management and continuous improvement of this in depth manufacturing process; therefore you will have regular interaction between all levels from manufacturing shop floor to director. You will be:
Monitoring work order flow, and scheduling problems.
Maintain time and attendance system and production records to analyse departmental production performance.
Using an integrated ERP system, MRP, inventory management, cycle counting, and works order management.
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written. Good communication skills.
Liaise with production team leaders to maintain schedule status and resolve delivery date queries.

You will be:
Currently working or has worked in a planning role within an SME.

Confident to communicate clearly with all interfaces.
Can work on own initiative.

This role would be commutable from Bury St Edmunds, Diss, Thetford and Norwich.
