Our Data Protection practice is growing. As part of our national UK 50 strong fee earner commercial practice, the Data Protection team is one of the largest and most successful of its type. Our enviable client base includes household names in a wide variety of sectors such as retail, financial institutions, insurance, manufacturing and the government, public and charity sectors. We are building a real reputation for the provision of premium commercial advice that delivers results for both our lawyers who love the work that they do, and for our clients whom we are helping to grow, expand and succeed.

Led by Chambers rated noted practitioner Andrew Kimble, our Data Protection practice has a leading reputation for delivering innovative solutions that make it easier for people to do business, whilst maintaining compliance and reducing risk. We support and advise major private and public sector clients across a variety of industries on privacy and data issues and sit as senate members of IMRG (the trade body for e-commerce), as well as working on cutting edge data products across new and emerging technologies involving cyber security, telematics, drones and big data. But it doesn't stop here. We also advise on wider information governance issues, including freedom of information and the re-use of public sector information, as well as supporting clients if things go wrong, often as an extension of their internal response teams. The GDPR is creating opportunities for us to support new and existing clients with their data protection compliance, from upfront gap analysis and reporting through to the provision and implementation of compliance solutions. Needless to say it's an exciting time to join us.

We are currently looking for a number of data protection specialists to join us, and we are flexible about the location in which they do so. All of our offices have a strong commercial offering, a collegiate atmosphere and a commitment to providing a national service for our clients. The successful candidates will have a proven track record in delivering data protection and information governance advice ideally in a large regional or city law firm or in-house. As important is the ability to deliver advice to our clients in a commercial way, developing and deepening relationships and driving opportunities for us to work in partnership with our clients to achieve their strategic goals.

If you are looking to build a career as a specialist Data Protection and Information Governance lawyer, with access to the best FTSE250 and public sector clients with a true pipeline of quality work, come and talk to us. We have a sophisticated lawyer development programme to support both professional and personal development, a clear and transparent career framework which supports career progression through to Managing Associate and beyond. We love what we do and are keen to share it with you - if you want to hear more why not get in touch?
