An exciting opportunity has arisen with East Lindsey District Council for an Estates/Policy Research Officer. East Lindsey, located in eastern Lincolnshire, is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family, with amazing open spaces, an outstanding coastline, the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, historic market towns with their independent shops and smaller rural villages.
Though this role is full time, it is split between two functions of the Council, we are looking for someone who is motivated and can manage their own workload and priorities. You will be joining the Council`s successful, small, Property Services Team and Planning Policy Team (that probably means two Christmas dinners!).
In Property Services, the role will be 3 days a week, job share and will prepare revenue estimates and lease renewals, calculate rent and apportionment of rent. You will be dealing with the Council`s tenants and helping them with queries, raising invoices and monitoring payments. In the Planning Policy Team you will work for 2 days a week and be managing the Council`s Housing Position Statement to ascertain where housing is being built, contacting developers and agents to discuss with them when they are going to bring housing forward, and you will be providing data for national housing returns, you will also be going out to have a look at housing sites to see if they are started or completed.
The successful post holder will have a good standard of education and is computer literate preferably with a suitable qualification to level NVQ4 or extended experience within either a planning or property environment. The post holder must be competent in the use of maps/plans and digital mapping systems. It is desirable that they be able to understand information relating to the research of property information and be able to interpret that legislation.
The post holder must have the ability to communicate at a good level both verbally and in written form. A full driving licence is essential.
