Electronics Repair Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + Benefits

A leading aerospace organisation in the Gloucestershire area is expanding throughout 2018 / 2019. As part of their growth, they require the skills of an Electronics Repair Technician to be responsible for fault diagnosis and return to service of various electronic products, ensuring that the finished product conforms to aerospace standards.

The Role

As an Electronics Repair Technician, you'll be:

* Providing inspection and diagnostic fault finding of various electronic products and final unit instruments.
* Identifying and undertaking required repair to return product to required standard.
* Assemble, test and inspect various mechanical/electronic products and final unit instruments, using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies and high-level technical build.
* Undertake analytical fault-finding to determine the root cause and corrective action of failed products.
Effective use and maintenance of systems and records to ensure service standards are achieved at all times (i.e. use of ERP/MRP, Database and IT systems.
* Ensure all assembly, test and repair functions are completed to the necessary quality standards - they meet contractual customer expectations and conformance to enable progression to final inspection and release.

Your skills and experience:

* Experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing/engineering environment (aerospace desirable).
* Experienced in working at electronic component level, using detailed engineering drawings and other technical records.
* Able to demonstrate understanding and application of the principles and theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components within the engineering function.
* PC literate - competent in the use of MS Office applications, ERP and other business IT systems. Experience of logging identified problems,root cause analysis and corrective action.
