We are currently recruiting for an Hourly Paid Wood Machinist in Carpentry and Joinery to provide sickness cover within our Construction and Building Services team. As a Wood Machinist you will machine and manage resources and equipment to ensure health and safety is maintained in the workshops and centre as a whole. You will support staff and students in the workshop, ensuring equipment and resources are available to support student learning.
The successful candidate will need to hold a NVQ 2 or above (or equivalent) in a wood occupation subject, such as carpentry or bench joinery, and have previous experience in a construction or workshop environment. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and patient, with the ability to work proactively and provide unobtrusive support.
