Scottish Autism is an independent Scottish charity committed to working for the rights and quality of life of people with autism. The organisation offers a range of support for people with autism including education, day care, supported living, vocational opportunities, respite and outreach.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join our fundraising team. The successful candidate will implement fundraising and stewardship strategies to attract and retain community fundraisers, and increase fundraising income.
You will be the first point of contact for incoming queries from community fundraisers to Fundraising. You will support fundraisers and Scottish Autism services in their fundraising activities, working with marketing as required. You will be required to assist at fundraising events and develop opportunities linking fundraising activity to marketing.
Flexibility and adaptability, as well as a can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure will be an important attribute of the candidates. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. Previous experience of community fundraising is required for this this role, and experience of working with a fundraising database. Weekend and evening working will be required.
We offer comprehensive training, opportunities for personal development and a generous benefits package.
Candidates who have not received written confirmation within two weeks of the closing date for the position should then consider themselves unsuccessful.
