Prestige Recruitment Specialists are delighted to be recruiting for our prestigious client, a large manufacturing company in Hull for the position of Logistics Coordinator.
JOB PURPOSE:
* To co-ordinate marshalling, packing and despatch/delivery requirements to the delivery sequence in order to facilitate a smooth transition to site
* Organise and coordinate the shipping of goods both in/out of UK, Europe and ROW and to provide support to team members in this task
* Working from the operations planner report, identify individual contract requirements on a weekly basis.
* Organise freight insurance; shipment
* Maximise quality and efficiency through effective freight provider selection and performance monitoring.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
* Prepare and control shipping documents manually.
* Prepare shipping schedules
* Attend progress meetings, review and comment on project packaging documentation.
* Linking stores, marshalling and despatch activities
* Provide feedback to Project managers and site contacts regarding documented instructions
* Use Shop Orders/ PO's/IFS to track components
* Ensure records on IFS are accurately maintained
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
* Organised/methodical
* Microsoft proficient
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Knowledge of exporting requirements
* Understanding of security issues
* Understanding the UK/ international security regulations
* Transport and logistics systems
* ISPM regs
* Containerisation
* Overseas requirements
Salary - GBP25k per year
Hours - 37 per week - Monday to Friday
