Salary range: £17,822 - £19,164 + benefits + overtime

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 after 5 years

What are they looking for?

• They are recruiting for a number of talented and enthusiastic Residential Support Workers for their children’s and young adults’ homes. 
• These roles will work in their fantastic, state of the art 2 and 4 bedroom homes at their single site in Cheadle Hulme near Manchester airport, and will support their children and young adults (3-25 years old).
• Experience working in a care setting supporting people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is preferred but not essential.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification advantageous but not essential.

What are the roles?

• These are full time and part time permanent roles
• They will involve providing daily care and support for their young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities.
• Some challenging behaviours may present, so candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment.

What are the hours?

• Flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)
• The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern
• The roles will work every other weekend
• They also have part time hours for evenings and weekends, and these roles will also involve working every other weekend (21 hours per week minimum)

Our client is a national charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK.  They provide care and education, for children and young people aged between 3-25 years, in their homes, at their school and college and through their short breaks services.
