Daily Pay Rates: GBP418.30 UMBRELLA / GBP334.75 PAYE
Location: Shrivenham, Defence Academy
Contract Length: 4 months approx
Security Clearance Level Required: SC
We are looking for a SC cleared Commercial Manager (MCIPS) ideally with MoD/Def Academy experience.
Key tasks:
- To deliver the procurement of a multi participant and low barrier to entry framework agreement for the procurement of visiting lecturer and guest SME speakers in support of the DefAC Academic Programme.
- The job holder will be required to work closely with stakeholders up to 1* level and develop and establish a framework model that provides accessibility to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and which is efficient and effective to use by both DefAc and its suppliers .
- This is a delivery role and the job holder will be expected to assume responsibility to drive project success.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working within a commercial team to deliver programme objectives;
- Supporting colleagues to achieve targets in relevant timescales;
- Developing successful working relationships with external suppliers.
- Contributing to procurement and contract strategies;
- Compiling and issuing tenders;
- Administering contract amendments;
- Providing commercial advice and guidance to the wider business;
- Ensuring all procurement activities are within budget;
- Ensuring all activity undertaken is in line with government regulations and best practice.
As well as the specific experience required above you will have the necessary qualifications, skills & experience of a Commercial Manager to take control of this requirement from its inception to its completion.
