A prominent housing association are looking for an experienced Welfare and Benefit Officer to provide advice to current and prospective tenants.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
* Implementing strategies to reduce the effects of Universal credit on tenants.
* Assess new universal credit applications and offer initial benefits advice and benefit verification.
* Work closely with colleagues to achieve team targets on rent arrears, sustaining tenancies and maximising the organisation income stream
* Maximise our tenants and Swan's income by providing a comprehensive welfare benefit advisory service to the Association's tenants/prospective tenants.
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulation that affect the payment of welfare benefits.
This is a fixed term contract of 4 months
