Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias)
Hampshire - To GBP38,000
This role will see you working within this major food Manufacturing Company as a Shift Maintenance Engineer. You will have a 'hands on' approach carrying out breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and project work. Candidates applying for this role should already be working in an engineering maintenance environment within the food industry.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
??Responsible for continuously striving to improve OEE (overall equipment efficiency) by efficiently and effectively reducing breakdowns of factory machinery
??To ensure that communication is of the highest standard preventing conflict and confusion between production staff and engineering team members
??Through submitting continuous improvement ideas with the focus of reducing down time on machinery and reducing waste
??Work closely with production staff members within the factory to build on the relationship between production and engineering
??Ability to self-development
??Complete some administrative paperwork such as signing off work orders, raising corrective work orders
??Be actively involved with MDWT working closely and co-operating with the Team Leader as a requirement of the organisation
??Ensure that production specifications and quality standards are adhered to
??Support Autonomous Maintenance
??Achieve and sustain a high level of GMP
PERSON SPECIFICATION
For this position you will need to have a Nationally recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, ideally upto NVQ Level III (although not essential). A proven background of working within an FMCG manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Engineer is essential for recognised engineering certification in mechanical and electrical engineering. You will need to have a good mechanical skills to compliment your electrical ability.
