Conventus Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer, to join our Client's internationally renowned Defence and Technology organisation. At present, they are seeking an to join their team in Harlow and assist in developing a range of products, within their Sensor and Imaging department.
Our Client's intricate Sensor and Imaging solutions includes Air and Missile Defence Radars, Tactical Fighter Radars, Airborne Surveillance, Air Traffic Control Radars, Maritime Surveillance, Electro-Optical Infrared Sensors, Special Mission Aircraft, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Sonar, Spaced-based Sensors, RF Sensors, and more.
ASIC | VHDL | SYSTEM INTEGRATION | EPLD | PCB | RF | EMC | D/A A/D CONVERSION | SC
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience in design partitioning from design into digital environment;
* Proven experience implementing complex VHDL designs with a System Integrity requirement;
* Ability to support your digital design outside of the design tool environment in the real world;
* Experience of interfacing your design to established systems;
* Experience in the design of PCBs accommodating high speed (up to 1 GHz) digital tracking;
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a scientific discipline or Systems Engineering;
* Current holder of or eligibility to obtain SC level security clearance.
Desirables:
* ASIC and EPLD designs within a single system;
* Interfacing RF circuitry and high-speed D/A /A/D conversion;
* Ability to design support circuitry e.g. interfaces, including PIC and microcontroller development;
* Understanding of the impacts of EMC and Environmental requirements on your design;
* Designing for volume production.
