Manufacturing Engineer - Cable Assemblies
Location: Stoke-on-Trent.
Salary: Circa GBP25K/annum.
Contract: Permanent - 37.5 hrs /week.
About the role
Copper & Optic are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their existing Engineering Team. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Copper & Optic are a leading manufacturer of sub contract electronics and cable harness assemblies to a variety of sectors including Power Generation, Marine, Defence and Aerospace industries.
Duties will include:
• Customer liaison
• Compilation of sales quotations
• Processing of sales orders
• Purchasing and allocation of materials
• Production of planning documentation
What we need from you
• Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings, specifications and standards (including aerospace), have a good general knowledge of materials and components, and be able to determine tooling requirements. Whilst we are a manufacturer of electronic components an understanding of mechanical drawings would be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Visio.
• Have a good level of literacy and numeracy an engineering or electronic qualification or an understanding of AS9100 requirements would be an advantage.
• Must be able to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to be able to meet customer deadlines.
• Whilst someone with previous experience in this environment would be ideal we would also be interested in receiving applications from candidates who have studied or worked in an electronics background who wish to pursue a career in this field, as training will be given.
