A global Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, specialising in vehicle electrical systems and advanced software and sensing systems is currently seeking an experienced Resident Quality Engineer to join their team on a contract basis on a client site in Halewood.
Contract details
-3 months (initially)
-First 2 weeks on days, moving to permanent nights, (Apply online only) Mon-Fri
-Main point of contact for the company on client site
-Hourly rate, DOE
The Role
-First line customer support for Quality or Engineering issues including APQP, PPAP and launch - liaising with the appropriate departments within the company to ensure prompt resolution
-On-site presence to assist the customer with product quality concerns
-Provide accurate and timely information on quality issues to plant
-Share corrective actions with the customer, analyse and share performance data
-Maintain excellent communication between customer and plant until issues are resolved
-Conduct first-level investigations on rejected products
-Establish liability with defects, and take appropriate actions towards resolution
-Review packaging, handling and installation of customer products on site
-Complete customer audits
-Assist in developing customer training requirements
The Candidate
-Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
-Experienced in Quality in automotive, and with direct customer interaction
-Direct experience with wire harnesses would be beneficial
-Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring all key stakeholders are involved in decisions
-Excellent negotiation and communication skills
-Strong problem solving skills/experience
-Experience of meeting multiple deadlines in a timely manner
-Experience in capturing and preparing analytical data
-IT literate in Microsoft Office software
