We are looking for:

An ambitious lecturer to take the lead role in running and developing our AQA Computer Science A Level at our Lewes Campus, as well as coordinating our Level 2 Digital Software Practitioner course.

You should have an indepth knowledge of computing, be an experienced programmer and also have experience in databases, PHP, javascript and a broad knowledge of web and mobile technologies, cyber security and project management methodologies.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to break down concepts and devise practical ways to secure a deep understanding with learners. Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, you should also have a teaching qualification. This role will allow you to inspire the next generation of computer science professionals.

You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching and learning and be able to stretch the most able students. For this role A Level teaching experience is essential, together with in depth knowledge of emerging trends in the digital industries and industry experience would be advantageous.

The person we are looking for would be involved in promoting our courses through collaboration with local schools as well as holding extra curricular events such as coding clubs etc. Computer Science is an essential part of our Digital Technology Department, exciting and fast moving area and you should be prepared to investigate new technologies and integrate them into the curriculum and contribute to the development of new provision in the area.

The department is looking to expand with new and innovative courses as well as preparing for the new T Levels from 2020. The person appointed would be expected to take a leading role in these developments.
