Technical Writer

Flight Centre Travel Group, one of the world's most successful travel selling companies is growing rapidly in its corporate brands, which means we're scouring the nation for a talented professional to become a Technical Writer. Based in our Head Office, in New Malden (14 minutes from Clapham Junction), you'll help the Bid Writer prepare top-notch documents used to pitch for contracts and create winning propositions.

Our corporate brands offer a unique combination of expert advice, local personal service and global negotiating strength to maximise travel cost savings. As an integral part of corporate technical support team, the Technical Writer will have the ultimate responsibility for responding to the technical elements of any RFIs (request for information), RFPs (request for proposal) or other questionnaires, which will result in the sales team hitting their targets for new business. You will create necessary support documentation to allow sales and account managers to directly support their prospective and current customers.

What we're looking for

As this role is predominantly about responding to technical sections or questions raised during the bid process, implementation or customer life cycle, for both global and local customers, we need someone capable of interpreting all technical documentation to be able to adequately respond. As you will often need to be on hand to help with proposals at short notice, we need you to be great at sticking to strict deadlines. You'll have a strong educational background (degree preferred) and will need to be fully comfortable with learning new technologies (Qvidian) and with MS Office.
