Temporary up to 1 year

Required as soon as possible, a Special Support Officer to work within The Bridge Alternative Provision, based at the Bryncethin Campus, Brynmenyn.

The main duties of this post include working with KS3 and 4 pupils and at times their families and mainstream schools, with complex needs, behavioural, emotional and social challenges, including mental health difficulties, anxiety, challenging behaviour and diagnosed medical and other conditions.

The post holder(s) will have responsibility for engaging KS 3 and 4 learners in activities to support both their academic learning needs and their social and emotional health and development. The post holder(s) will deliver, embed and reinforce the content and associated strategies from the core wellbeing programmes delivered within The Bridge's wellbeing curriculum including: behaviour and relationship management, anxiety, problem solving, ELSA, building resilience and associated programmes.

The successful candidate(s) will have experience in working at an appropriate level within an educational setting and be willing to be flexible towards the needs of the pupils, parents and all other stakeholders within the service with a focus on building positive relationships.
