Salary: GBP35,000 pro-rata

Hours: Part time - 20 hours per week

Red Eagle is proud to be working on behalf of Folkestone & District Mind to recruit a forward thinking CEO. Mind is a charity which champions positive mental health and provides a wide range of services to support better mental health in Folkestone, Dover and the surrounding District.

This is a fantastic opportunity to head our charity's leadership team, reporting to the Chair and Board of Trustees to deliver our strategic objectives. The CEO will be responsible for planning, developing, directing and overseeing the management of FDM and our work programmes. You will set and manage our budget, build strategic partnerships, develop new services and ensure the efficiency of service delivery and operations for sustainability and growth.

Duties include:

* Ensure and oversee an organizational service and resources fit for service delivery; line manage relevant post holders as appropriate.

* Oversee the management of an effective workforce for all operations and service delivery, including recruitment and performance management issues.

* Identify workforce training and development needs and recommend appropriate training activities.

* Recommend and manage changes required in structure and activities to respond to service user needs.

* Be responsible for the monitoring of budgets and the control of expenditure relating to operations.

* Ensure the financial resources allocated to run activities and venues is spent in the most cost-effective way.

* Oversee the operational management of FDM's services.

* Be the designated Safeguarding and Health and Safety Lead for FDM.

Personal Specification:

* You will have excellent leadership, partnership building and communication skills as well as the ability to hit the ground running to lead the organisation to success.

* You will have relevant and demonstrable professional background and experience. Knowledge of the charity and mental health field would be a distinct advantage.

* You will have strong people management skills and experience of leading through a period of change, supporting and engaging teams with culture change, and delivering transparent and effective change processes.

* You will have a track record of successful fundraising and experience of developing and drafting tender bids.

* You will have experience managing multiple services or work streams and of research or evaluation to provide credible and, where possible, validated evidence of impact.

* You will have a good understanding of relevant HR processes
