Yard/Plant Operatives
Two new temporary to permanent openings for Yard Operatives required for a family run business within the Agricultural sector.
Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday (Apply online only)
Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday (Apply online only)
Location - Long Buckby
Days GBP9.53phr
Nights GBP10.93phr
Roles and Responsibilities
Loading finished product into lorries using a Loading Shovel (from finished product silos), ready for transport to customers the following morning.
Loading yard lorries with raw materials and tipping them in the processing plants intake pits.
Shunting Lorries in the Yard
Basic vehicle maintenance duties
General yard duties, including store maintenance, site cleaning.
Lab testing
Requirements
Experience of driving plant ideally loading shovels. Licences to demonstrate this are preferred, however not essential as full training given.
Any experience of driving lorries preferred. Licence not required as shunting on client's premises. Again, full training given
Any agricultural knowledge will help but not essential.
These roles are not purely operating and driving machinery! 60% will be operating machinery 40% will be associated duties as described.
