A Design Consultancy with expertise in interesting, bespoke structural designs for both public and private sector clients are looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will work on a variety of both new build and complex refurbishment/renovation projects. The role will also involve mentoring junior members of staff, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
As an integral member of the team, you will be required to:
• Support the team in delivering designs for a range of building structures including steel, timber and masonry materials
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and other third parties.
• Assist in providing supervision and technical support during construction phase
• Act as a company representative at client meetings
• Attend site visits during construction and offer technical expertise as required
To apply for this role, you should be;
• Educated to degree level of equivalent in civil or structural engineering.
• Proven extensive experience within a design consultancy environment
• Able to lead and manage junior members of staff
• Have the ability to manage and allocate appropriate workload to staff
• Have excellent communication skills due to the level of communication associated with this role
• A well-developed understanding of the design of building structures, including knowledge of both EUROcodes and British standards
