We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-established Glasgow based M&E Design Consultancy.
Having enjoyed a successful run of new contract awards across a range of sectors, this company is looking to appoint a new Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Working directly with a mixture of large blue-chip clients, public bodies and SMEs or partnering with large main contractors as part of D&B contracts, they have been able to generate a diverse portfolio of work, offering their team fresh engineering challenges on a daily basis.
They believe in allowing their staff the freedom to achieve their potential rather than hemming people in within strict national, graded structures. As a privately owned regional business, the company are Directors are free to make decisions that are right for the business at a local level.
Working within commercial, defence, education, retail and various other sectors, they are looking to add a new Mechanical Design Engineer. The main purpose of the role will be to produce designs and technical specifications for mechanical building services including heating and ventilation systems for both new build and refurbishment contracts. Additionally, the role may require some condition surveying of services in commercial properties.
To apply for this role, you should be;
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Have proven experience in a design consultancy environment
• Have demonstrable experience in design of building services for both new build and refurb projects
• Having a working knowledge of applicable design software packages such as Hevacomp and AutoCAD
• Be familiar with BREEAM standards and their application throughout the design process
This role will be of interest to any intermediate up to senior level Engineers looking for career progression and further development.
